another和other的區(qū)別是什么

other作形容詞，通常用在單數(shù)或復(fù)數(shù)名詞的前面，意為“別的；其他的；另外的”；another泛指不定數(shù)中（三者或三者以上）的“另一個(gè)”。another前面不能用定冠詞the，它作為限定詞（定語）通常與單數(shù)名詞連用，但是它后面可以跟few或基數(shù)詞的復(fù)數(shù)名詞。

another和other

不定代詞another是由an和other構(gòu)成，由此可以判定它只能代替或修飾可數(shù)的單數(shù)名詞，前面不再用冠詞。可以在句中作主語、賓語、表語和定語；

不定代詞other相當(dāng)于名詞或形容詞,可以在句中作主語、賓語、定語等。指兩個(gè)人或事物中的第二個(gè)。相當(dāng)于名詞時(shí),有復(fù)數(shù)形式others。

1.the other用于兩者中的另一個(gè)，another指三者以上中的另一個(gè)：

He has two toys. One is for me, the other is for himself.

他有兩個(gè)玩具。一個(gè)是給我的，另一個(gè)是他自己的。

I don't have enough pencils,please give me another two.

我的鉛筆不夠用，再給我兩支。

2.another 還有 “再……” 的意思，other 有 “另外” 的含義：

I don’t like this T-shirt. Please show me another one.

The girl is much cleverer than other three.

這女孩比另外三個(gè)都聰明。

3.修飾數(shù)詞的結(jié)構(gòu)不同：數(shù)詞+other+復(fù)數(shù)名詞= another+數(shù)詞+復(fù)數(shù)名詞：
